If you're based in or near Houston and want a Royal Caribbean mega-ship experience without flying to Florida, Liberty does the job. Who should skip it: Anyone who wants cutting-edge amenities or a ship that was built in the same decade as their phone. Liberty is a workhorse, not a showpiece — if you're chasing the newest Royal Caribbean tech or an onboard thrill park, there are flashier options in the fleet that were built after the Obama administration.
