What Oceania Marina's Autumn Caribbean Season Is Actually Like
Our own database has no port lists for Marina's sailings this season, so everything below comes from retailer and cruise-industry listings. Ports shift, so check Oceania's final itinerary before you book. Think of this as well-sourced gossip, not gospel. With that said: Marina carries 1,258 guests and about 800 crew, and her 2024 refurbishment is still fresh. Her latest CDC score is 98, from the April 7, 2026 inspection. This is a small, grown-up ship doing a big, sunny job.
The weather, minus the brochure gloss
Atlantic hurricane season officially ends November 30. Late November is low-risk but not zero, and a storm can still form in December, though that's rare. Marina's Caribbean calendar starts when the season ends. Dry-season conditions arrive from December, with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s °F and sea temperatures around 78–82°F.
The catch is wind. Winter trade winds and passing cold fronts can whip up chop, especially on the Western Caribbean and long Eastern Caribbean runs. Grand Cayman is a tender port, so a rough day can slow transfers or cancel the call. Package your expectations accordingly, and maybe your breakfast too.

We've left fares out of the table on purpose. Retailers list wildly different starting prices for the same sailing, so check Oceania's own booking page or a travel agent for what your cabin will actually cost.
- The Atlantic crossing (Nov 25, 15 nights, or Nov 15, 25 nights from Rome): The 25-night Rome departure is the 10-night Rome-to-Barcelona sailing and the 15-night Barcelona-to-Miami crossing joined end to end, so you can board in Rome and stay on all the way across. The 15-night listing shows eight sea days out of sixteen calendar days, with six in a row from December 1–6 after Funchal. It's good for readers who want a long, quiet stretch at sea, and not for anyone who counts a day without a port as a wasted day. We'd pack seasickness remedies for the mid-Atlantic leg regardless.
- Island-hoppers (Dec 10, 12 nights): This is the Eastern Caribbean sampler. St. Barts and Antigua are the draws. Cruise Industry News also highlights a Caribbean cooking shore excursion led by a team trained by Michelin-starred chef Colin McGurran, where guests prepare a three-course menu. The announcement doesn't say which island hosts it, so ask Oceania before you book your heart on Antigua.
- Holiday sailors (Dec 22, 14 nights): Cruise Industry News calls this a two-week holiday sailing, with a New Year's Eve call at Fort-de-France in Martinique. The announcement doesn't name a Christmas Day port, so check Oceania's day-by-day before you start picturing yourself unwrapping presents on a beach.
- First-timers (Jan 25, 7 nights): A Miami round trip with calls at Costa Maya, Belize City, Roatán and Cozumel. CruiseWeb lists Belize City for the Belize stop, so check Oceania's final itinerary to be sure before you pack your snorkel. It has the shortest commitment of the bunch.
- Canal fans (Jan 5 and Jan 16): Our schedule shows a 9-night Miami departure on Jan 5 and a 9-night Panama City departure on Jan 16. Those are the two halves of the 20-night Jan 5 sailing in the table: Miami to Panama City first, then Panama City back to Miami, with two nights in Panama City in between (9 + 2 + 9 = 20). CruiseWeb's 20-night listing has the ship arriving the evening of Jan 14, leaving early on Jan 16, and finishing in Miami on Jan 25. Some retailers list each half as 10 nights, which is how they get to 20 as well, and one lists the Panama City sailing for Jan 15, so confirm the exact dates and end ports. The halves are the best bet for a Panama Canal transit without committing to the 20-night version.
Money and crowds
Here's the honest bit: we can't hand you a tidy price comparison. For the Dec 10 12-night alone, retailer "from" prices run from $2,490 per person on CruiseSheet to $4,399 per person on CruiseWeb's sailing list, depending on who's selling, which cabin they're showing and when they last updated. Get a quote from Oceania or an agent before you decide which sailing is the bargain. As for the Caribbean itself, retailer listings put Marina's first calls in San Juan on Dec 7 and Puerto Plata on Dec 8, at the end of the Atlantic crossing, so she arrives right as the season's weather settles down.
Marina also has Mediterranean sailings in November (Barcelona → Rome on Nov 5, and Rome → Barcelona on Nov 15). They aren't Caribbean, but they're proof that she's repositioning, not lounging.
What to pack
Pack light cotton and linen, reef-safe sunscreen, and a light rain jacket, because Western Caribbean ports such as Roatán see more showers than the drier southern islands like Aruba. Add a light layer for air-conditioned venues and breezy decks. Oceania's dress code is country-club casual, so you can leave the tuxedo at home.
