Harmony of the Seas Feb 6, 2027: Prep Guide & Deadlines

Harmony of the Seas leaves Port Canaveral on Saturday, February 6, 2027, for seven nights. She is a 2016 Oasis Class ship that just strutted out of a 2026 drydock refit with more cabins and new restaurants (a glow-up, basically). What makes this sailing distinctive is the shape of it: two sea days, then a short St. Thomas call, then a third sea day, then Nassau and CocoCay on back-to-back days. The sea days are inferred from the gaps between ports. It also falls in cold-front season, when the Bahamas can get lumpy.

Start Here

  • Now: check every traveler’s documents. Passports need six months of validity past the cruise end date if you are using one, and anyone under 18 travelling without a parent or guardian needs a notarized form.
  • Now: open the Cruise Planner and grab the things that sell out, like CocoCay’s Thrill Waterpark and Coco Beach Club, plus any specialty dinners.
  • Around December 23, 2026 (estimated): online check-in opens, reportedly 45 days out. That figure comes from blog sources, so your account or the Royal Caribbean app shows the real date.
  • Well before sailing: finish check-in and pick your arrival time slot. Royal Caribbean asks guests to check in at least 3 days ahead, and early check-in gets you the most slot choices. The exact moment online check-in closes is not confirmed, so check your Royal Caribbean account instead of testing your luck.
  • Before you travel: book your airport transfer or hotel. Parking at the port is pay-on-arrival only, with no reservations.
Harmony Feb 6, 2027: what to sort before you sail. Passport, if you use one: 6 months; Minors without a parent or guardian: Notarized form; Online check-in: 3 days ahead; Checked in and on board by: 90 min before; Port Canaveral parking: $20.00 a day; CocoCay Thrill Waterpark, Beach Club: Book early.
The short version, in one picture. Save it to Pinterest for later.

What to Do Now and the Deadlines That Bite

Do the paperwork first, then the booking, because the clock that matters is check-in. Our own database has no port list for this sailing, so everything below about the route comes from third-party schedules. Royal Caribbean can adjust ports and times, so confirm on royalcaribbean.com or your booking before you build a plan around any of it. Cruise planning is a lot like a group chat: somebody always changes the plan at the last minute.

  • Check-in: reportedly opens 45 days before sailing, which works out to around December 23, 2026. That is our own arithmetic on a blog figure, so treat it as unconfirmed. For US departures it reportedly opens at midnight in the departure port’s time zone.
  • Arrival slots: you choose a slot during check-in, and it shows on your mobile boarding pass. Slots are first come, first served, so the early bird gets the good one.
  • Check-in timing: Royal Caribbean’s arrival-time FAQ asks you to check in at least 3 days ahead. Skip that and you finish check-in at the pier at least 2 hours before the published sailing time. The exact moment online check-in closes is not confirmed, so do not treat any single date as a hard deadline, and do not leave it to the last minute either.
  • Cruise Planner: it unlocks once you have paid your deposit. Royal Caribbean says you can reserve experiences as soon as you have booked.
  • Sell-outs: paid CocoCay add-ons often sell out, and prices are dynamic. There is no official booking window for dining or shows that we can point you to, so check the app.
  • Crown & Anchor perks: nothing we found confirms that your loyalty tier changes when check-in opens. Enter your number during check-in and let the app show your status.

Embarkation Logistics

Plan to arrive in your chosen slot, not early and not late. Goldilocks rules apply. Per Royal Caribbean’s FAQ, arriving early means you cannot start boarding, and arriving late may mean waiting for a later group. Blog estimates put embarkation at 30 to 90 minutes from terminal arrival to boarding, so budget for the long end.

Harmony is expected at Cruise Terminal 1 (9050 Discovery Rd, Port Canaveral, FL 32920), a south-side terminal reached from Exit 54B. The port’s 2026 schedule shows her at Terminal 1 on several autumn dates, but nothing confirms February 6, 2027, and the port says assignments can change. There is also no confirmed first-slot time or door-opening time for this sailing, so your boarding pass is the authority.

The cutoff is firm: be checked in and on board at least 90 minutes before the published sailing time or you cannot sail. Third-party schedules list sailaway at either 4 pm or 3 pm. At 4 pm that cutoff is about 2:30 pm, and at 3 pm it is about 1:30 pm (our arithmetic). Plan around the earlier one, because the ship will not wait for your “one last coffee.”

Parking at the Port

  • Rate: $20.00 per day plus tax, counting both arrival and departure days.
  • Your total: February 6 through February 13 is 8 calendar days, so about $160 before tax. This is our arithmetic from the port’s rule, assuming you pick up the car on the 13th.
  • Payment: major credit card only (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover). No cash and no reservations.
  • Opening time: parking opens at 10 AM on embarkation day.
  • Off-site lots: they are reportedly cheaper, but rates are not confirmed, so check the lots directly.

Getting There From Orlando (MCO)

Orlando airport is about an hour’s drive from the port, and the price swings depend on whether you pay per person or per vehicle. These figures are undated third-party estimates, so verify before booking.

OptionReported pricePer
Cruise-line transfer$36–$39 (another source says $35–$45)person, each way
Independent shared shuttleabout $25–$30person, each way
GoPort shared shuttle$29.99 ($59.98 round trip)person
Private SUV or vanabout $150–$220vehicle, one way

The Night-Before Hotel

  • Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Canaveral: free port shuttle, but you must contact the hotel at least 48 hours before arrival.
  • Best Western Cocoa Beach Hotel & Suites: free shuttle only for guests on its Stay and Cruise program.
  • SpringHill Suites Cape Canaveral: a package of about $115 for two guests covering round-trip airport transfers and a one-way ride to the port. Extra guests pay $60.80 each, and airport pickups only run for flights arriving 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort: a third-party terminal service costs up to $25.

No 2027 nightly rates are confirmed, and a February cruise weekend is a busy one, so book early.

The Ship and How to Work It

This is a freshly amplified ship, so the older reviews you find online are partly out of date. Harmony spent time in a Cádiz drydock in spring 2026 for Royal Amplification and returned to service around May 21. The refit added more than 100 staterooms, including panoramic suites over the bridge and new inside cabins, and the conference center was removed to make room (sorry, spreadsheets). For the full picture, see our Harmony of the Seas ship page.

Eating

  • Scale: Royal Caribbean says “over 20 venues.”
  • Specialty: Samba Grill (a Brazilian steakhouse, new in 2026), Izumi Hibachi & Sushi and Chops Grille.
  • Casual: El Loco Fresh (new in 2026, described as complimentary Mexican food), Solarium Bistro, Dog House and the Lime & Coconut pool bar.
  • Also aboard: the Main Dining Room, and the Pesky Parrot for tropical drinks.
  • New: Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade on the Boardwalk, which replaced Sabor.

Which venues carry a cover charge, and what the current prices are, is not confirmed. Check the Cruise Planner before you budget for it.

Thrills, Pools and Quiet

  • Water: 3 pools and 10 whirlpools, plus the Perfect Storm slides (Typhoon, Cyclone and Super Cell).
  • The big one: Ultimate Abyss is a 10-story slide with a 44-inch minimum height. Royal Caribbean bills it as the tallest waterslide at sea, and that claim is theirs.
  • Dry thrills: two FlowRider surf simulators, a 40-ft rock climbing wall, ice skating, and a zip line across the Boardwalk that the ship page says is nine stories high. There is also a new laser tag battle, but age and price details are not available yet.
  • Adults only: the Solarium, enhanced in the refit. It is the only adults-only area we can confirm.

Shows and the Casino

Reserve your shows early, because they are free but need seats. Free is the best price, and everyone else on board knows it. Royal Caribbean’s family guide names “Columbus,” “1887” (on ice) and “Hideaway Heist” (in the AquaTheater). The ship page counts 12 nightlife spots, including four shows and six live music venues. Casino Royale is billed as the fleet’s largest, with 37 table games and over 500 slots.

Kids

Adventure Ocean and the teen programs are free, but confirm the age cutoffs before you plan around them. The Harmony family guide lists Adventure Ocean for ages 3 to 11. Fleet-wide pages split the groups differently (Aquanauts 3 to 5, Explorers 6 to 8, Voyagers 9 to 12 or 9 to 11, and teens starting at 12 or 13), so check the Cruise Planner. The Royal Babies & Tots nursery takes ages 6 to 36 months and is paid by the hour, though hours and rates are not confirmed.

The Ports

Three port days, one very short. Blink and St. Thomas is a memory. These times come from third-party schedules, so treat them as approximate, and rely on your daily planner and the app for the real ones. For other Harmony routes, browse Harmony of the Seas itineraries.

DateStopReported hours

Fri Feb 12Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sat Feb 13Port CanaveralArrives around 6:00 am

Gangwaze shows St. Thomas starting an hour earlier and ending an hour earlier (6:00 am to 1:30 pm), and Nassau running 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Treat all the times as approximate and check your app for final ones.

St. Thomas, Tuesday

You get about 7.5 hours, so pick one thing and do it. Which pier Harmony uses, Havensight or Crown Bay, is not confirmed. From Havensight, downtown is about a 15 to 20 minute walk, while Crown Bay is closer to 30 to 40 minutes, so a taxi makes more sense there.

  • Taxi to downtown: about $5 to $6 per person in blog estimates, up to about $12 in one guide.
  • Taxi to Magens Bay: roughly $8 to $15 per person, 15 to 30 minutes each way.
  • Magens Bay entry: $5 or $7 per person depending on the source, so verify.
  • Money: the USVI uses the US dollar, so bring cash.

With the 2:30 pm departure reported, a ship excursion guarantees the ship waits for you. If you go independent, leave extra time to get back, especially from Crown Bay where fewer taxis run. A current USVI travel advisory is not included here, so check travel.state.gov.

Nassau, Thursday

Nassau is a cheap, walkable day, so keep it simple. Your wallet will thank you. Rawson Square and Bay Street are a 2 to 5 minute walk from the exit, and the Straw Market is about 5 minutes along Bay Street (polite haggling is expected). Junkanoo Beach is free, about 10 to 15 minutes west on foot. The Queen’s Staircase, 66 limestone steps by Fort Fincastle, is about 12 minutes inland in one guide.

Safety matters here. The State Department advisory for The Bahamas is Level 2, “Exercise Increased Caution,” because of crime, renewed July 28, 2026 with no change to the level. It says most crime is in Nassau and Freeport and tells travelers to stay alert in the “Over the Hill” area south of Shirley Street. Our practical read is to stay in the tourist zone near the port and Bay Street. With CocoCay the next day, skip the pricey Atlantis day pass unless you really want it.

CocoCay, Friday

The free stuff is genuinely enough for a good day. Free: the Oasis Lagoon pool, Chill Island, South Beach, the kids’ areas (Captain Jill’s Galleon and Splashaway Bay), loungers, umbrellas and the island tram. Some restaurants are free, but drinks are free only with a drink package.

Paid extraReported price
Thrill Waterpark$99–$104 per adult in two sources (wider range: $49–$220)
Coco Beach Club$54–$229.99 per person, depending on source
Up, Up and Away balloonabout $39–$99 per person
Hideaway Beach (adults only)day pass required, price varies
Cabanas and beach bedsseveral hundred dollars to over $1,000 per day

Prices are dynamic and vary widely by source, so get the actual February 2027 figures from the Cruise Planner. Thrill Waterpark and Coco Beach Club often sell out.

Conditions and Packing for This Season

It is not hurricane season, but winter weather can still rearrange your Bahamas days. Mother Nature did not read your itinerary. The Atlantic season runs June 1 to November 30, so February 6 falls roughly ten weeks after it ends. The risk is very low but not literally zero, since a small share of storms form outside the window.

Place (February)Reported conditions
Port CanaveralAverage high 72°F, average low 54°F, relatively dry
St. ThomasHighs about 83°F, sea about 79°F, light showers on roughly 17 days (estimates, not official station data)
Nassau and CocoCayNo solid figures found, so check a forecast the week before

The real winter issue is wind and swell. Early February 2026 saw a Florida-to-Bahamas cold snap, and reports described ships missing CocoCay on high winds and large waves, with one report of storm damage to part of the pier. Earlier CocoCay skips were reported in February 2024 and January 2025. That makes a CocoCay or Nassau swap a possibility, not a prediction, and we found no statistic for how often it happens.

Seasickness is possible, so pack remedies. The stretch out of Florida and past the Bahamas is the likeliest to get rough if a front passes. At 226,963 gross tons Harmony is a big ship, which helps with motion. This packing list is our editorial advice, not Royal Caribbean’s:

  • Layers for sailing day, since Port Canaveral lows are in the 50s and decks get windy.
  • A light jacket or windbreaker for evenings and sea days.
  • Swimwear and sun protection for St. Thomas and CocoCay.
  • A rain layer for St. Thomas showers.
  • Motion-sickness remedies, just in case.

Money

Your fare is the start of the bill, and the daily gratuity is the first add-on. A fare is not quoted here because third-party prices for this sailing vary a lot and some may be stale. Our cruise ship tipping guide covers who gets what.

Cabin typePer guest per day7 daily charges, per guest
Interior, ocean view, balcony$18.50$129.50 (two adults: $259.00)
Suite$20.50–$21.50 (reports vary)$143.50–$150.50

Gratuities are per person, not per cabin, and apply to children too. The totals above assume seven daily charges, so your final invoice shows how many days are actually billed. You can prepay gratuities in the Cruise Planner, which reportedly locks in the rate. The suite rate is not confirmed, so check it at booking. Bar tabs and spa services reportedly carry an automatic 18% to 20% on top, and specialty dinners typically add a gratuity as well.

Drink Packages

The Deluxe package only pays off if you drink heavily. Be honest with yourself. These are third-party, pre-gratuity ranges per person per day, and no Harmony-specific 2027 price is confirmed, so check the Cruise Planner.

PackageReported range per person per day
Classic Soda$12.99–$18
Refreshment$29–$42
Deluxe Beverage$56–$115 (varies by ship and sailing)
  • Gratuity: plan on about 18% being added. A hypothetical $84 package becomes $99.12 a day, or $693.84 per person over 7 nights.
  • Per-drink cap: drinks over $14 are not fully covered, and you pay the difference plus gratuity on it.
  • Cabin rule: if one adult buys Deluxe, every drinking-age adult in the cabin must buy it. Packages are tied to each guest’s SeaPass card and cannot be shared.

Wi-Fi and Smart Savings

Pre-book Wi-Fi in the Cruise Planner rather than paying onboard. One Harmony example showed Surf + Stream at $38.70 a day onboard against a Cruise Planner sale price of $29.02, a saving of $9.68 a day. That example is undated, so confirm the 2027 price.

Two more savings are official and free. Each drinking-age guest may bring one sealed 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne on embarkation day, and up to 12 non-alcoholic cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom. Our bring alcohol on a cruise guide has the details. The corkage fee for taking a bottle to a restaurant or bar is not confirmed, so do not budget a figure.

Documents and Rules

This looks like a closed-loop sailing, which makes paperwork easier, but a passport is still the safer bet. It starts and ends in Port Canaveral, and the ports reported don’t include the stops where Royal Caribbean says a passport is mandatory (Mexico, Colombia, Panama or Martinique). Re-check the route first, since it is third-party only.

  • US citizens: an original US birth certificate plus a valid government photo ID is acceptable on closed-loop sailings. Royal Caribbean still recommends a passport book, and cites a medical emergency or an unplanned itinerary change as reasons it is worth carrying one.
  • Children: US citizens 15 and under don’t need photo ID, and the birth certificate is enough.
  • Passport holders: validity should run at least six months past the end of the cruise.
  • Green card holders: a valid passport from their country of citizenship, plus the physical Permanent Resident Card.
  • Other non-US citizens: a valid passport, and they may need visas or travel authorizations depending on nationality and ports.
  • Names: must match across all documents, and documents must be originals.

Kids Travelling Without a Parent

If a minor is travelling without their legal guardian, you need a notarized form. Royal Caribbean’s travel-documents page requires it for guests 17 and under, and its UK FAQ says even aunts, uncles and grandparents need an original notarized letter. Whether a parent travelling alone with a child needs a letter on US closed-loop sailings is not confirmed, so ask the line before you go.

Prohibited Items and Medication

  • Not allowed: illegal drugs (including marijuana, even with medical authorization), firearms, fireworks, open flames, clothing irons and steamers, and knives or tools over 7 inches.
  • Also not allowed: pets (service animals excepted) and electrical items like extension cords, power strips and baby monitors.
  • Security: security has the final say, and prohibited items can be confiscated.
  • Seized alcohol: guidance on whether beer or spirits taken at embarkation are returned is mixed, so don’t count on getting them back.
  • Medication: Royal Caribbean has no rule on quantities that we can point to. Our common-sense advice, not policy, is to carry medication in original labelled containers in your hand luggage.

Bahamas passenger taxes are normally folded into the taxes and fees on your fare. The 2027 amounts are not confirmed, so check your final invoice rather than assuming a number.

FAQ: Harmony of the Seas, February 6, 2027

When does online check-in open for Harmony of the Seas on February 6, 2027?

Check-in reportedly opens 45 days before sailing, which works out to around December 23, 2026. That figure comes from blog sources rather than Royal Caribbean’s own pages, so treat it as an estimate. Your account on the website or app shows the exact date. Royal Caribbean asks you to check in at least 3 days before sailing, and the exact cutoff for online check-in is not confirmed, so do it early.

Which ports does Harmony of the Seas visit on the February 6, 2027 cruise?

Third-party schedules list St. Thomas on February 9, Nassau on February 11 and Perfect Day at CocoCay on February 12, with sea days on February 7, 8 and 10. Our own database has no port list for this sailing, so confirm on royalcaribbean.com. Royal Caribbean can swap ports, especially in winter weather.

How much is parking at Port Canaveral for a 7-night cruise?

The port charges $20.00 per day plus tax, counting both arrival and departure days. A February 6 to 13 trip is 8 calendar days, so about $160 before tax. You pay by major credit card on arrival, with no cash and no reservations, and parking opens at 10 AM on embarkation day.

Do I need a passport for a Harmony cruise from Port Canaveral?

For a closed-loop sailing that starts and ends in the same US port, US citizens can use an original birth certificate plus a government photo ID. Royal Caribbean still recommends a passport book, citing a medical emergency or an unplanned itinerary change as reasons to carry one. Non-US citizens need a valid passport. Always check your exact route first.

How much are gratuities on Harmony of the Seas for 7 nights?

For standard cabins, gratuities are $18.50 per guest per day, so seven daily charges come to $129.50 per guest, or $259.00 for two adults. Suite rates are reported between $20.50 and $21.50 per guest per day, which is $143.50 to $150.50 over seven daily charges. The suite rate is not confirmed, and your final invoice shows how many days are billed, so check both at booking.

What can I bring aboard to save money on drinks?

Each drinking-age guest may bring one sealed 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne on embarkation day. You can also bring up to 12 non-alcoholic cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom. Boxed wine is not allowed, and a corkage fee reportedly applies if you take wine to a restaurant or bar.

Could CocoCay get skipped on a February sailing?

It is possible. In early February 2026, reports described ships missing CocoCay because of cold-front winds and large waves. We found no statistic for how often it happens, so treat it as a risk, not a prediction. Keep your CocoCay add-ons flexible if you can, and check the Cruise Planner for refund terms.

The Bottom Line

This is a good winter sailing if you do your homework early and keep your expectations flexible. Do the documents now, set a reminder for check-in around December 23, and book the CocoCay add-ons that sell out. Budget about $160 for parking, about $129.50 per person for standard-cabin gratuities (assuming seven daily charges), and whatever your drink plan costs after the 18% on top. Then pack a jacket for Florida, swimwear for the Virgin Islands, and a little patience in case the Bahamas gets blustery. For more on the ship, see the Harmony of the Seas page.
