Carnival Magic sails round-trip from Miami for the rest of 2026. She alternates 6-night and 8-night Caribbean cruises, and I found no Europe repositioning, Port Canaveral detour or homeport shuffle. The 6-night trips are Eastern Caribbean runs to Celebration Key or Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove and Grand Turk. The 8-night trips head either to San Juan, Sint Maarten and St. Thomas, or south to Aruba and Curaçao. There’s also one 6-night sailing with Montego Bay and Grand Cayman on Dec 6.
She left Miami on Sunday, Sept 27, for a 6-night sailing, so today’s guests are already sunburnt. After that come 13 more departures before the year ends, with the first on Oct 3 and the last on Dec 26. Below is the quick version, then every sailing, then what to expect.
Carnival Magic 2026 Itinerary: Quick Reference

| Eastern Caribbean (short) | 6 nights | Celebration Key, Amber Cove (Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic), Grand Turk | Sept 27, Oct 11, Oct 25, Nov 8, Nov 22 (Dec 12 swaps Celebration Key for Half Moon Cay) | $442–$626 for Oct 11 onward |
| Eastern Caribbean (long) | 8 nights | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | Oct 3, Oct 31, Nov 28, Dec 18, Dec 26 | $517–$1,188 |
| Southern Caribbean | 8 nights | Oct 17: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao. Nov 14: Celebration Key, Aruba, Curaçao | Oct 17, Nov 14 | $602 (Nov 14, oceanview fare); $1,290 (Oct 17, balcony fare) |
| Western-leaning | 6 nights | Celebration Key, Montego Bay, Georgetown (Grand Cayman) | Dec 6 | $488 |
Fares are the lowest advertised price per person, based on two sharing a cabin, taxes and fees included. They come from a third-party seller’s listings, so treat them as snapshots.
Every Carnival Magic Sailing From October to December 2026
Here’s the full run after the current cruise. Every sailing starts and ends in Miami. The cabin category behind each price varies, and I’ve flagged the two balcony fares and the one oceanview fare so you don’t compare apples to oranges.
| Departs | Nights | Route | From (pp) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 3 | 8 | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | $1,158 (balcony) |
| Oct 11 | 6 | Celebration Key, Amber Cove, Grand Turk | $496 |
| Oct 17 | 8 | Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao | $1,290 (balcony) |
| Oct 25 | 6 | Celebration Key, Amber Cove, Grand Turk | $467 |
| Oct 31 | 8 | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | $548 |
| Nov 8 | 6 | Celebration Key, Amber Cove, Grand Turk | $507 |
| Nov 14 | 8 | Celebration Key, Aruba, Curaçao | $602 (oceanview) |
| Nov 22 | 6 | Celebration Key, Amber Cove, Grand Turk | $626 |
| Nov 28 | 8 | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | $517 |
| Dec 6 | 6 | Celebration Key, Montego Bay, Georgetown | $488 |
| Dec 12 | 6 | Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove, Grand Turk | $442 |
| Dec 18 | 8 | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | $745 |
| Dec 26 | 8 | Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas | $1,188 |
That’s seven 8-night sailings and six 6-night sailings. The pattern is usually a Sunday departure for the short trips and a Saturday departure for the long ones. December scrambles it (Dec 18 is a Friday), because the holidays refuse to follow anyone’s rules.
Oct 3 versus Oct 31 looks like a $610 gap for the same route ($1,158 minus $548). It isn’t a real price jump. One is a balcony fare and the other is an interior fare. Compare the same cabin type before you panic-book anything.
What Each Route Is Actually Like
The 6-night Eastern run. This is the bread and butter, with three ports and two sea days. On the Sept 27 sailing the order is Celebration Key on Monday, a sea day, Amber Cove on Wednesday, Grand Turk on Thursday, another sea day, and home Saturday. It’s a beach-heavy itinerary. Celebration Key is Carnival’s private destination on Grand Bahama, Amber Cove is a port complex in the Dominican Republic, and Grand Turk is the Turks and Caicos cruise port. If you want a first Caribbean cruise that doesn’t demand a week off work, this is it. Our short versus long cruise breakdown covers whether six nights is enough for you.
The 8-night Eastern run. This one has more variety: Half Moon Cay, then San Juan, Sint Maarten and St. Thomas. Three of those are proper towns you can wander, so it suits people who get restless on sand. It also carries the priciest interior fare of the year: the Dec 26 sailing starts at $1,188 per person for an interior cabin. Only the Oct 17 balcony fare on the Southern Caribbean run ($1,290) is higher.
The Southern Caribbean run. Only two sailings this year head to the ABC islands. Oct 17 visits Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. Nov 14 keeps Aruba and Curaçao and adds Celebration Key. If you want something less “cruise-ship-default”, these are the two to watch.
The one-off. Dec 6 is the only 2026 departure that calls at Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Georgetown, Grand Cayman. It’s a 6-night sailing with Celebration Key as the opener, and it’s the best pick if you’ve already done Grand Turk twice.
Itineraries can change, and October and November fall inside Atlantic hurricane season, which runs June 1 to Nov 30. Read our cruise hurricane season guide before you lock in a late-autumn sailing.
What Changed on the Ship in 2026
Magic is a Dream-class ship built in 2011, at about 130,000 gross tons with room for 3,690 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 1,367. This spring she spent 35 days at the Freeport Grand Bahama Shipyard and came back to Miami in late May. Sources disagree on the exact restart day, so I’m not going to pretend to know it.
Here’s what was added or redone:
- A new mini golf course on Deck 12, one of several upgrades in Carnival’s own release
- An expanded casino and arcade
- A reconfigured Lido buffet with better traffic flow
- Refreshed WaterWorks aqua park and pool decks
- A modernized Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center with new equipment
- Refreshed shops, including an Effy Jewelry boutique
- The “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest, making her the second Carnival ship to wear it
So if you sailed her before May, the ship will feel different. Sit down before you look at the new buffet layout.
Looking Ahead: 2027 and Booking Reality
The pattern doesn’t change in 2027. Listings I checked show Miami departures with the same 6- and 8-night mix. January has five sailings (Jan 3, 9, 17, 23 and 31) and February has four (Feb 6, 14, 20 and 28). For September 2027, the listings show four sailings, from $408 to $650 per person. A separate schedule tracker shows Miami sailings running through at least March 2028.
On timing, the cheapest fares I found were 6-night sailings in 2027: $382 on Jan 31 (guaranteed inside), then $408 on both Sept 5 and Sept 19 (interior). The dearest were holiday and balcony fares. Our guide to the best time to book a cruise explains why those swings happen. Remember that every fare above is per person. Two people on the Oct 25 sailing at $467 each pay $934 before extras, and that gap is what the “from” price hides.
For documents, US citizens on round-trip sailings from a US port can generally board with a certified birth certificate and photo ID. A passport is the safer choice, though, because it makes life far easier if you have to fly home from a foreign port.
FAQ: Your Carnival Magic 2026 Questions, Answered
Where does Carnival Magic sail from in 2026?
She sails from PortMiami, and every 2026 departure I found is a round-trip from there. She returned to Miami after a 35-day drydock in late May 2026. Schedules I checked show her staying in Miami through 2027, and one tracker lists Miami sailings through at least March 2028.
How long are Carnival Magic cruises in 2026?
They are either 6 or 8 nights. The 6-night trips usually leave on Sundays and cover the Eastern Caribbean with three ports. The 8-night trips usually leave on Saturdays and go to either the Eastern Caribbean (San Juan, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas) or the Southern Caribbean (Aruba, Curaçao). December’s schedule shifts a few departure days around the holidays.
Does Carnival Magic go to Celebration Key in 2026?
Yes. It’s on the Sept 27 sailing and six of the 13 remaining departures: Oct 11, Oct 25, Nov 8, Nov 14, Nov 22 and Dec 6. The other seven, including Dec 12, use Half Moon Cay instead or skip both. Check the exact day-by-day itinerary before you book, since ports can change.
How much is a Carnival Magic cruise in 2026?
The 6-night fares I found for Oct 11 to Dec 12 run from $442 to $626 per person, double occupancy, taxes included. The 8-night fares run from $517 to $1,290. That top end includes two balcony fares, $1,158 on Oct 3 and $1,290 on Oct 17, and the $602 Nov 14 fare is for an oceanview cabin. These are snapshots from a third-party seller, so confirm with Carnival before you commit.
Does Carnival Magic sail to Europe or Alaska in 2026?
Not according to anything I found. Every 2026 and early 2027 sailing I checked is a Miami round-trip to the Caribbean or Bahamas. A tracker’s schedule shows only 6- and 8-night Caribbean sailings, all from Miami, through at least March 2028. If a repositioning cruise ever appears, it would be announced separately.
What’s new on Carnival Magic after the 2026 drydock?
Carnival’s release lists a new mini golf course, which Cruise Hive places on Deck 12. She also has an expanded casino and arcade, a reconfigured Lido buffet, refreshed WaterWorks and pool decks, a modernized Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center, and updated shops. The “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest is new too, and Magic is the second Carnival ship to carry it.
The Bottom Line
Carnival Magic’s 2026 itinerary is Miami, Miami and more Miami, in a good way. You choose between a beachy 6-night trip and a more varied 8-night trip, and there are 13 departures left this year. The Celebration Key sailings are the easy pick for a first-timer. The Oct 17 and Nov 14 Southern Caribbean cruises are the ones to grab if you want something different. Compare fares by cabin type, remember they’re per person, and check the day-by-day plan for your exact date, because ports can change and hurricane season doesn’t send a memo.
What Is a Cruise Ship Itinerary, and How Do You Read One?
A cruise ship itinerary is the ship’s day-by-day schedule. It shows where she departs from, which ports she calls at, what time she arrives and leaves each one, which days are spent at sea, and where she finishes. CruiseMapper sums it up as where the ship is going and when. This Carnival Magic sailing is round-trip, so it starts and ends in Miami. The 8-night sailing that leaves on Saturday, Oct 3 (that’s tomorrow, so if you’re sailing, go finish packing) is a good one to practise on.

Five things the schedule tells you
- Nights versus days. This is an 8-night cruise, but the schedule runs for nine calendar days. Boarding day and the morning you get kicked off the ship both get a line.
- The port-to-sea ratio. This sailing has four port days (Oct 4, 6, 7 and 8) and three sea days (Oct 5, 9 and 10). Cruise Prodigy calls that ratio “the single biggest determinant of what kind of vacation a cruise actually is.” It says most 7-night mainstream Caribbean cruises land somewhere in the middle, typically three port days and three sea days. So this one leans a little more toward ports, if you ignore that the sea days are clumped together like a family at a buffet.
- Hours ashore. Subtract the arrival time from the departure time and you get your maximum time in port, before you count the walk off the ship and back. On this sailing, the listed stays are 8 hours at Half Moon Cay and San Juan, and 9 hours at Sint Maarten and St. Thomas. St. Thomas, with its 7:00 AM arrival, is the early-alarm day.
- Back-to-back sea days. Oct 9 and 10 sit together at the end. That’s a lot of deck-chair time on the way home, so decide now whether you see that as a feature or a threat.
- Tender or pier. A tender port means the ship anchors offshore and small boats shuttle you in, which eats time. Listings flag these with “tendered”. Carnival Horizon’s 6-night January 2027 sailing has George Town, Grand Cayman, as a tender stop from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Its sea days are Jan 6 and 9.
Compare itineraries by structure, not just by port names
Two cruises can both be called “Caribbean” and feel nothing alike. Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas runs 7 nights from Miami on Dec 20, with four ports and two sea days (Bimini, George Town, Ocho Rios and Falmouth). Our day-by-day breakdown shows how a Christmas-week routing works. Carnival Magic’s Oct 3 run has more sea time, but it reaches San Juan, Sint Maarten and St. Thomas, which are three towns you can actually wander.
Pick the route first, then the cabin. If you want to see a lot, aim for four or more port days. If you want to rest, choose the sailing with more sea days.
