Disney Treasure does not do “quiet.” It has a Haunted Mansion-flavoured parlour, a Moana stage show, and a Grand Hall that looks like Agrabah threw a gala. This autumn it also swings between two quite different Caribbean routes every other week. Before you pay for a week on it, you should know which week you’re buying. Here is the honest version for the Saturday departures from October 17, 2026 through mid-January 2027.

Who Disney Treasure Actually Suits
Treasure is a Wish-class ship (the same family as Disney Wish) with an “adventure” theme. Reviewers describe bolder, jewel-toned decor than Wish, with Moroccan, Arabian and African influences. The Aladdin-inspired Grand Hall has a bronze Aladdin and Jasmine on a magic carpet. Heihei Cafe nods to Moana. Sarabi, the Lion King-themed lounge, turns adults-only at night. The headline show is Disney The Tale of Moana.
It suits families with kids of almost any age, plus Disney fans who want the details done properly. The kids’ clubs are strong: Oceaneer Club for ages 3 to 10, Edge for tweens, Vibe for teens. Adults without kids are catered for too. There’s an adults-only Quiet Cove pool on Deck 13, and the extra-fee restaurants Palo and Enchante are kid-free. With 2,476 passengers and 1,555 crew, that’s roughly 1.6 guests per crew member, and the service reputation is the thing reviewers praise most.
It’s a poor fit if you want a drink package (Disney doesn’t sell an all-you-can-drink one) or a casino-and-nightclub party ship. Reviewers also flag that the queen beds don’t split into twins, which is awkward for friends or siblings sharing. Cabins sleeping five are tight on storage. Cabin sizes are covered in our cruise cabin size guide, and the full ship profile is on the Disney Treasure ship page.
The Itineraries and Which Week to Pick
Our Disney Treasure itinerary page has the full calendar. Our database lists 17 sailings in this period. Fourteen of them are weekly Saturday departures from October 17, 2026 through January 16, 2027, and those are the ones covered here. Published sailing lists show two routes alternating week to week:
- Western Caribbean (7 of the 14): Port Canaveral, sea day, Cozumel, Grand Cayman (George Town), Falmouth (Jamaica), sea day, Disney Castaway Cay. Departures are October 17 and 31, November 14 and 28, December 12 and 26, and January 9.
- Eastern Caribbean (the other 7): Port Canaveral, two sea days, Tortola and St. Thomas, sea day, Castaway Cay. Departures are October 24, November 21, December 5 and 19, and January 2. Two weeks, November 7 and January 16, swap St. Thomas for San Juan.
Our port data covers the Western rotation. The Eastern weeks, including the two San Juan swaps, come from published itinerary lists (WDWNT’s full fall 2026 list, CruiseCompete and the Disney Cruise Line Blog all show the same two San Juan dates) rather than from Disney’s booking page. Disney can change ports at any time, so confirm your own date at booking.
Pick Western for the most port days (three in a row) and the snorkel-and-beach rhythm. Pick Eastern if you’ve done Cozumel and Cayman, or want one US-territory stop (St. Thomas or San Juan) and the quieter, scenic British Virgin Islands. The cost is an extra sea day, three instead of two.
Themed weeks: Halloween on the High Seas runs on select Disney sailings across September and October 2026, and Treasure is one of the participating ships. The October 24 departure is listed as a Halloween sailing by every list that names Treasure dates. Some lists also tag October 17 and October 31, but others don’t, and Disney’s booking page is the place to check those two. Very Merrytime holiday sailings run from late November through December, and the lists don’t tag exactly the same weeks, so verify on your booking.
The Ports and What’s Genuinely Worth Doing
Cozumel, Mexico. Reef snorkelling or a beach club. Skip any day trip that needs a ferry and a long bus ride unless you enjoy cutting it close to all-aboard.
Grand Cayman (George Town). Stingray City and Seven Mile Beach are the classics. This is an anchorage port, so you take a tender (small boat) ashore, and the line can be slow at peak times. Reserve a booked excursion if tender queues stress you out.
Falmouth, Jamaica. The one to read the fine print on. After Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica in October 2025, Disney dropped Falmouth from at least two Treasure sailings, and one swapped in Lookout Cay instead. The Falmouth cruise port formally reopened on December 2, 2025, when Caribbean Princess called, and our itinerary data lists Falmouth on the Western rotation. Disney can still change ports, so check your own sailing’s port list on Disney’s booking page before you pack the water shoes. The easy wins are river rafting and the falls, both best pre-booked.
Tortola and St. Thomas / San Juan. Think beach days (Magens Bay on St. Thomas) and boat trips around the British Virgin Islands. San Juan is the walking-and-history pick, with Old San Juan’s forts.
Castaway Cay. Disney’s own Bahamas island closes every sailing. It’s the reliable day, and the one to keep free of rushed meet-and-greets if you’re on a Halloween sailing.
Conditions and Packing for Autumn
The Atlantic hurricane season officially runs June 1 to November 30, with peak activity typically mid-August through October. NOAA’s updated 2026 outlook, issued August 6, gave a 75% chance of a below-normal season. A quiet forecast still doesn’t mean zero risk, and Melissa is the reminder: cruise lines reroute early and quietly. Travel insurance that covers itinerary changes is cheap next to a $4,000-plus fare.
In the islands expect mostly 80s°F, warmest in October. Port Canaveral and the sea days can turn properly cool by December and January, so pack a light jacket for decks and evenings.
Pack for the extras:
- Pirate Night gear, which every 7-night sailing includes
- Lightweight Halloween costumes if you’re on a Halloween-themed sailing (the Mouse-querade deck party gets hot and crowded)
- Reef-safe sunscreen and water shoes
- A passport
If you plan to bring wine or beer aboard, read our guide to bringing alcohol on a cruise. Disney’s updated policy, rolled out ship by ship from June 3, 2026 (Treasure on June 6), lets each guest aged 21 and over bring either one unopened 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne, or six 12 oz beers, in carry-on luggage. Older guides say two bottles, so check Disney’s current alcohol FAQ before you pack.
Money: What a Week Costs and Where the Value Is
These are opening-day prices from August 2025 for two guests sharing a cabin, including taxes and port fees. They are totals per cabin, not per person, and they are not today’s fares. They show the shape of the season, not the price on your screen.
| Departure | Route | Inside cabin, two guests | Per person (rounded) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 31 | Western | $4,462 | $2,231 |
| Oct 17 | Western | $4,644 | $2,322 |
| Oct 24 | Eastern (Halloween) | $4,731 | $2,366 |
| Dec 12 | Western | $4,980 | $2,490 |
| Nov 21 | Eastern (Thanksgiving week) | $6,635 | $3,318 |
| Dec 26 | Western (New Year’s) | $8,704 | $4,352 |
Takeaways:
- October 31 was the cheapest of the sailings in the table, listed at $182 less per cabin than October 17 at the time.
- December 26 cost $3,724 more per cabin than December 12 ($1,862 more per person), purely for the calendar.
- On October 17, upgrading from inside to a verandah added about $1,092 per cabin ($546 per person), going from $4,644 to $5,736.
Value sits in the gaps between holidays, such as mid-November and early December. Dining, entertainment, kids’ clubs and room service are included, but extras like Palo, Enchante and port excursions are not. Budget for those on top.
Timing: When to Book and What Sells Out
Today is October 13, so the October 17 sailing leaves in four days and October 24 in eleven. Any space left now will be whatever cabins are left, and fares can move either way. For the autumn run, the holiday weeks are where demand shows up first: Thanksgiving week (November 21), Christmas week (December 19) and New Year’s (December 26). Their opening-day prices were already well above the shoulder weeks.
If you want a flexible window, plan for 2027 instead. General booking for Disney’s fall 2027 to spring 2028 itineraries opened September 8, 2026, with Castaway Club members getting earlier access from August 31. Treasure stays at Port Canaveral, and in fall 2027 it gets company: Disney Wish returns to the port for three- and four-night Bahamian cruises and Disney Destiny home ports there for the first time. Disney says Treasure will keep sailing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
FAQ: Your Disney Treasure Questions Answered
Is Disney Treasure good for adults without kids?
It can be, if you like theming and polished service. Adults get an adults-only Quiet Cove pool, Palo and Enchante dining, the Rose Bar, and Sarabi’s evening entertainment. It’s still a family ship, with children’s activity everywhere through the day, so couples who want a calm, grown-up week should plan around those adult spaces.
Is Western or Eastern Caribbean better on Disney Treasure?
Western gives you Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica with two sea days. Eastern gives you Tortola plus St. Thomas or San Juan with three sea days. Pick Western for snorkelling and more port time. Pick Eastern if you’ve done the Western ports or want a US-territory stop. Both end at Castaway Cay.
Is it safe to cruise the Caribbean in October and November?
Hurricane season runs through November 30, and NOAA’s updated 2026 outlook gave a 75% chance of a below-normal season. Disruptions still happen: Disney dropped Falmouth from Treasure sailings after Hurricane Melissa in 2025. Expect possible port swaps, buy insurance that covers itinerary changes, and watch your cruise line’s updates in the week before sailing.
Can you bring alcohol on a Disney cruise?
Under Disney’s updated policy, which began rolling out in June 2026, each guest aged 21 or over can bring either one unopened bottle of wine or champagne (up to 750 ml) or six beers (up to 12 oz each) at embarkation, packed in carry-on luggage. Older guides list two bottles, so check Disney’s current alcohol FAQ before you pack. Our alcohol guide has the broader rules.
What was Disney Treasure’s latest CDC inspection score?
The ship scored 100 out of 100 on its most recent inspection, on February 17, 2026. The Vessel Sanitation Program grades ships out of 100, and 86 or above counts as satisfactory. You can look up any ship’s report in our CDC cruise ship inspection lookup.
How far in advance should you book Disney Treasure?
For holiday weeks like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, book as early as you can, because those fares were already far above ordinary weeks on opening day. For shoulder weeks, such as mid-November or early December, you have more room, but cabin choice shrinks as sailings fill. Fall 2027 sailings are bookable now.
The Bottom Line
Disney Treasure is right for families and Disney fans who want a themed, service-heavy week and don’t mind paying for it. Book a Western week if you want beaches, reefs and the most port time. Book an Eastern week for a different mix of islands. Skip the holiday weeks if your budget matters, and check that Falmouth is still on your sailing. With a perfect 100 on the CDC’s February 2026 inspection, the one thing you shouldn’t worry about is the housekeeping. Compare every date on our Disney Treasure itinerary page.
