Look, a 97 is genuinely impressive, sitting above the fleet average of around 95, and the fact that every single score this ship has ever received is a 97 (because again, one inspection) gives the whole thing an almost mythological quality. Is it immaculate? Is it lucky? Is it just really good at scheduling conflicts? We may never know. What we do know is that when the inspector finally showed up in November 2025, the kitchen passed with flying colors, and Carnival Freedom has been riding that single data point like a golden ticket ever since.

As a Conquest-class ship, Freedom is sailing in well-charted waters — this class has been Carnival's workhorse for decades, big enough to feel like a resort at sea (13 decks, nearly 3,000 passengers) without quite hitting the existential scale of newer mega-ships. Freedom is reliable. Revolutionary, it is not.
