Ovation of the Seas: Sanitation Record & Health Report

Ovation of the Seas has been running the Quantum Class flagship experience out of Los Angeles for a decade now, and its CDC record reads like a ship that mostly keeps its act together. Two inspections on file: a perfect 100 back on July 1, 2025, then a 97 on May 24, 2026. That's still comfortably passing — miles clear of the 86 cutoff — and sits right around the fleet's latest-score average of 96.7 (median 98). But the trajectory only runs downhill from a perfect score, which is why we're calling this one declining rather than piling on the confetti. A three-point dip is not a scandal. It is, however, the kind of thing that keeps an inspector's clipboard busy next time around.

To be clear about what we don't know: CDC's outbreak database is currently unreachable, so we're not able to check Ovation's gastrointestinal-illness history one way or the other. That's a data gap, not a clean bill of health — file it under "ask again later," not "nothing to see here."

Who should skip it: anyone who treats "declining trend" as a red flag on principle and wants a ship with a longer, flatter inspection history to point to instead — with only two inspections in the file, there isn't much of a track record here yet, good or bad, and the nervous cruiser might prefer more data before booking.
