The Tea
Bermuda is the Caribbean's sophisticated older cousin — pink sand beaches, proper British pubs, and an overall vibe that says "we have standards." The cruise port in King's Wharf (Royal Naval Dockyard) is well-maintained and the surrounding area has been tastefully developed with shops, restaurants, and a maritime museum.
What sets Bermuda apart: most cruise itineraries include an overnight or two, giving you actual time to explore the island rather than the usual frantic six-hour dash. The bus and ferry system is excellent and cheap ($5 day pass), making it one of the few cruise ports where you genuinely don't need a taxi or excursion.
The tea: Bermuda is beautiful but expensive — and not in a "oh, slightly more than home" way, but in a "did that burger really just cost $22?" way. The island is also far safer than most Caribbean ports (Level 1 advisory), but the prices might cause some emotional damage. Come prepared to spend, or pack snacks from the ship.
